Have Hope and Be Happy
Inspired by Nicholas in support of the
THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION
After being born with epilepsy, Nicholas went through two brain operations at the age of five years to stop the grand mall seizures. I asked him to tell me what his life is like today and here is his answer:
My life today is all about sports and having fun in high school. My life so far has been good because I have had only one seizure this year.
It is nice not having to spend time in hospitals and just breathing the fresh air.
I hope to realize my goal of becoming a chef, going to the Johnson of Wales Culinary School upon graduation from high school.
My dream has been to become a souse chef and eventually own my own restaurant.
I look forward to renting my own apartment and having a girlfriend and doing things that did not look promising at the beginning of my life.
My mom has been at my side at all times, along with my step dad, brother, grandparents, aunts, and uncle. Of which I give a big THANK YOU ALL.
